The Breakdown

The Blackstone Winemakers Select Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the highest Vastewine scoring wines in our entire database.  It has a vibrant violet color and a rich feel with a wonderful finish that’s long and smooth.  It’s pleasantly complex without being bitter. Like talking to someone that’s well read but doesn’t feel inclined to force you to know about it.  It has notes of deep blackberry, plum, and a bit of spice on the nose.  There is also a hint of vanilla and roasted oak combining to create a very complex but outstandingly easy to drink Cabernet.

It pairs wonderfully with any beef dish, but also a rich creamy dessert, or cheese.  This wine is misleading at it’s very low price point and can hold it’s own with quality among wines at two or three times it’s $9 price.
