Wine Reviews – Butterknife Chardonnay

Lobster Rolls

The Breakdown

Pale straw in the glass. Aromas of ripe yellow apple, cream, marshmallow, & banana, with some florals. Palate entry is full of vanilla & butterscotch, but fruit & citrus quickly enter the fray cutting through the creamy mouthfeel like a knife. Fruit notes of silky pear, baked apple, & pastry spices. Layers of honey & creamy caramel return mid palate leading into a vanilla & English toffee close. Finish is beautiful & opens up nicely with air. Full body, med acidity. Buttery, smooth, new world chard.
