Wine Reviews – Toasted Head Chardonnay

Lobster Rolls

The Breakdown

Toasted Head is definitely not subtle. It’s very vanilla-y with hints of toasted coconut. We drank quite a bit of it on a warm day and it was great but it is not a nuanced, mild flavor this chardonnay hits you like a waffle house waitress.  It’s probably a good cold weather white wine if there is such a thing because it has a lot of sweet flavors yet still being dry.

It’s also quite buttery with an almost créme brûlée finish. It has a wonderful color though and a crisp finish.  This is a wine that could pair with a rich, and even spicy dish. I could see this pairing really well with Indian food, or even cajun.
