Wine Reviews – Chateau Ste Michelle Riesling

Lobster Rolls

The Breakdown

Rieslings are known to be very sweet and this Riesling definitely doesn’t disappoint.  It begins with a very nice inviting aroma of honeyed citris fruit with heavy floral notes. It finishes crisp and dry. It’s definitely not too sweet. It has wonderful acidity to offset the sweetness. It has very rich flavors of lime, peach, and granny smith apples wrapped up in a very crisp clean finish.

If you are someone that isn’t really into dry wines but also aren’t looking for alchoholic Kool-Aid then this Riesling is perfect for you.  Extremely easy to drink and if served chilled would pair wonderfully with and seafood. Situations that would normally call for a light beer like a seafood boil would be absolutely perfect for this Riesling.
