The Breakdown

This wine is from one of if not the best Zinfandel areas in the world Lodi, California.  It’s big, bold and fruity but somehow still very dry. It’s a very complete wine, complex but with a smooth finish.  Zinfandels tend to be very dry and this one definitely doesn’t disappoint. It’s extremely dry. It does have a very subtle fruitiness on the front with cherry, plum and a hint of raspberry but the finish is extremely dry with a touch of leather and oak.

This is a wonderful wine to pair with very strong flavors, a strong sauce, or very stinky cheese. Of course it pairs well with any beef, but also can stand up to more complex dishes or spicy foods.
